AmCham Egypt hosted a special lunch on June 23 for senior representatives
from prominent think-tanks in Washington D.C., visiting the country
as part of a special delegation.
Issues discussed included U.S. Egypt relations, Egypt’s
special role in the Middle East, as well as economic, political,
and cultural reform in the region.
Members of the delegation were:

Dennis Ross, director and Ziegler distinguished fellow, the Washington
Institute; Former Middle East negotiator, Clinton and Bush administration
Robert Satloff, director of policy and strategic planning, the
Washington Institute
Geoffrey Kemp, director, Regional Security Program, Nixon Center;
former National Security Council Middle East expert, Reagan administration
Wendy Sherman, principal, the Albright Group, former State Department
counselor, Clinton administration
Walter Slocombe, partner, Caplin and Drydale; former undersecretary
of defense, Clinton administration; former special advisor on defense,
Coalition Provisional Authority, Iraq.
