Brief on AmCham Egypt
  Missions To The U.S.

Our mission is to promote trade and investment between Egypt and the United States.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt) was established in November 1981 as the 44th American Chamber of Commerce to be established abroad and the first in the Middle East. Today it is one of the largest and most active overseas affiliates of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and has successfully helped in enhancing economic and investment ties between the United States and Egypt.

AmCham Egypt works on promoting the development of commerce and investment between the United States and Egypt through creating a friendlier business environment, facilitating communication between businessmen; providing a network for sharing business information about Egypt and addressing common problems.

The Chamber provides a forum in which American business executives in Egypt and Egyptian business executives with American interests may identify, discuss and pursue common interests regarding their activities. AmCham Egypt holds frequent meetings between its membership and key Egyptian and American policymakers and business leaders.

All AmCham activities focus on three tracks - advocacy, awareness, and services - all of which are enhanced by its website (www.amcham.org.eg) and its range of high-quality printed publications. In addition, AmCham Egypt actively works to put businesses in contact with each other and offers specialized business services, both to its members and through member companies.

AmCham Egypt's current membership base is 1,500 members, consisting of U.S. companies doing business in Egypt and Egyptian companies doing business in the U.S.
