Committee Objectives

• Participate in and provide effective support to ongoing government efforts to restructure the Oil & Gas Sector and the Power Sector (including Renewables)



• Enhance the Energy Sector’s economic performance and sustainability



• Support the government’s efforts to enhance FDI in Egypt’s Energy Sector



• Enhance AmCham members’ knowledge and awareness regarding the Government’s restructuring and privatization programs for the Oil & Gas and Electricity Sectors



• Support reform efforts to gradually eliminate energy subsidies



• Create a forum for discussion of the future of the Egyptian Energy Industry



• Share Industry best practices
