Establish AmCham H&P Committee as point of contact and forum for dialogue with the Egyptian Government on Healthcare issues and pharmaceutical industry in Egypt.

Priority Issues

1. Research based American pharmaceutical companies' efforts in support of Egypt's obtainment of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States.
  a. Develop roadmap
  b. Identify key issues
2. Provide leadership and proactive measures in creating better business environment for direct foreign investment in the pharmaceutical field.
3. Promote better intellectual property environment and proper enforcement
4. Work with law enforcement, health authorities, customs and other appropriate government agencies on fighting counterfeit medicines.
5. Enforce the highest standards of ethical practices in pharmaceutical marketing in Egypt.
6. Encourage all members of the committee to initiate community services programs and projects aiming at making Egypt a better place to work and live.
