What is the Online Training Service?
 
Online Training refers to learning new information and skills using a computer connected to the Internet giving you the opportunity to learn anytime and anywhere. It can be as rich and valuable as the classroom-learning experience. It can also provide better learning results at a lower cost than the traditional classroom methods - reaching more people in a shorter amount of time

What is the process and method of Online Training? Is it based on an instructor, or video, or text?
 
The learning method is based on a computer connected to the internet. You log in to our website www.amcham.org.eg and using a user name and password you access your courses. There is no instructor; however, there is text that is displayed in an interactive and entertaining way. Some of the courses contain visual (audio recorded assistance) and short demonstrative videos.

How can I receive the content? CD's, books, download material, etc.
 
There is no material to be taken; all the material needed is found online. The material is not downloadable, however it could be printed using the “printable version” option that is found within the course features.

Can I take these courses on my Macintosh computer?
 
You will need to have virtulization software on your Mac such as VMware to run Windows programs. You may also run Windows programs using Boot Camp included with Mac OS X. Both of these solutions require a Windows XP disc for installation on a Mac.

What are the appointments (times of lessons) of the course?
 
There are no appointments for the courses. The courses are available 24/7. You can access it anytime from anywhere using your password and user name.

Are there any exams that I need to take after finishing these courses?
 
There are no exams but there are scored questions that you are being asked after each section in a chapter. When you finish the chapter you can see your score. You have to score above 70% in each chapter to pass the course. If you score below 70% the system allows you to repeat the wrongfully answered questions.

Is there any certification that I will receive after taking these courses?
 

Course Certificate(s):

  • After successfully completing all chapters of the course by scoring 70% or above in each chapter, you will be entitled to a course completion certificate (online on AmCham website and printed), certified by the American Chamber of Commerce and Mindleaders
  • Package Certificate(s):

  • In addition to individual certificates, you are entitled to a package certificate (online on AmCham website and printed) for all of the successfully completed courses
  • Important notices

    • Certificates will be issued two working days after submitting your request.

    • Printed certificates are to be collected from AmCham premises or delivered to your desired destination by FedEx. Check our Delivery Rates.

    Are the certificates' fees included in the package price?
     
    Yes, Certificate fees are included in the package price. Check our Delivery Rates.

    The user is entitled to 3 printed course certificates and 1 printed package certificate at no added cost. Additional printed certificates will cost LE 20 each.
    In addition, users are entitled to online course and package certificates that are published on AmCham website at no cost.

    Is there a certain order in which I should study the content/courses?
     
    You are free to study the courses with any order you choose.

    Do I have to study and finish all the courses in the package?
     
    You do not have to study all the courses in the package you bought. You will earn a certificate for whatever number of courses you have finished. The objective of a package is to offer the user a variety of courses to choose the ones that are most suitable for his/her needs.

    Is there a time limit to finalize this package?
     
  • Package Account:
    Once your account is activated, you will have one year access validity to all courses of the package.
  • Course Account:
    Once your account is activated, you will have six months access validity to all chapters of the course.

  • How do I subscribe/pay?
     
    1. Place an order online: To do this you log to www.amcham.org.eg/OTS, our Online Training menu will appear, choose "BUY OTS Packages/Courses" (Top right) and fill out the application.


    2. An email will be sent to you with the quotation of your submitted order and your order expiry date (15 days from order date)


    3. Pay the order : There are several methods for payment:

      1. Cash: in this case, you need to print the order and bring it with you to our premises at 33 Soliman Abaza, Dokki, Giza or send someone on your behalf. Cashier working hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays.


      2. Cash: Payment through OTS Distributors.

      3. FedEx Collections: have FedEx courier company collect the payment from the place of your choice at an added charge.


      4. Online Payment (Visa/Master Card/BM Card): when filling the order, you will be asked about the method of payment. If you choose the online payment, there will be a form to fill online with your card details.


      5. Offline Payment (Visa/Master Card/Amex/Diners Club):
        1. Send a copy of your credit card by fax: print your payment form, fill in the credit card information in the form, sign it, photocopy your credit card (two sides) and fax it to (202) 3338-9896 or scan it and send it by email to sramzy@amcham.org.eg

        2. Pay at AmCham premises: print your payment form and bring it to AmCham Premises at 33 Soliman Abaza St., Dokki, Giza. Cashier working hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays


      6. Cheque: in this case, you need to print your payment form and bring it with your cheque to AmCham Premises at 33 Soliman Abaza St., Dokki, Giza or send someone on your behalf. Cashier working hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays.


      7. Bank transfer: Our Bank transfer details are: For bank transfer, please transfer the full amount in Egyptian Pounds to AmCham bank account as follows

        P.S. Upon completing the transfer, kindly scan the transfer form that you receive from the bank and e-mail it to sramzy@amcham.org.eg with your order ID number so that we can verify the transaction and complete the process.

    4. Start using your account
      After we collect your payment, your account will be active after two or three working days. You will be receiving an e-mail with your username and password to access the courses. You can access your courses by visiting www.amcham.org.eg/ots then click on "Access Your Courses" link. Enter your username and password (as stated in the email sent).
