The importance of continuing
education in Egypt
I’m pleased to introduce the first issue of AmCham’s
CDC Newsletter, which we will be publishing on a quarterly basis.
It’s no secret that companies – in all fields –
need people with practical experience and sector-specific training.
For this reason, the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt is dedicated
to providing high-quality, reasonably priced courses for employees
and recent graduates, with the hope of contributing to the development
of Egypt’s enormous pool of human resources.
Since 1995, AmCham Egypt has been offering the Management Accounting
Certificate (MAC) – the first institution in Egypt to do so
– which is endorsed by the Institute of Certified Management
Accountants, based in New Jersey, USA.
Since then, AmCham has expanded its training portfolio, introducing
a number of certified training courses in the fields of e-marketing;
information systems; information security; human resources development;
auditing (banking and corporate); risk and financial management;
and accounting.
In addition, AmCham Egypt offers a number of workshops, on topics
such as finance and accounting; human resources; information technology;
law; management; marketing and sales; and secretarial sciences.
In 2003 alone, more than 700 individuals benefited from AmCham
training courses.
Additionally, last year, the chamber was appointed the Middle
East’s sole marketer of Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
certification. What’s more, in 2004, AmCham is pleased to
announce the introduction of CeMA certification, aimed at providing
candidates with the latest methods in electronic marketing.
On behalf of AmCham Egypt, I welcome you all for another fruitful
year of training at AmCham’s
Training/Career Development.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mohamed Amin S. Hemimi
Amcham Deputy Executive Director
